I just figured out that you can quit the finder if you get this program called ONYX .. This can be very helpfull for people using a slower mac using osx because the finder uses a lot of extra cpu and ram .... so if your using osx on say an old ibook thiscould be handy ... (ANDY)... youinstall it and go to the option that adds quit finder to menu and open finder and quit it.. nice

you should have told me that before I reformmated my computer:)... maybe when i buy my new ibook i will try it.
